World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The item upgrade feature allows players to boost the item level for equippable weapons or armor. This improves the stats and may also include buffs or rerolls to an attach.
It is important to keep in mind that although you can upgrade your magic and common equipment, it's generally not worth the effort. Rare and exclusive equipment will soon surpass modernized equipment and magic.
Cost
The player has to spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost to upgrade an item depends on the item's current level and the type of upgrade. For example upgrading a weapon will generally be less expensive than upgrading armor, as weapons have lower level requirements. The amount of Gold required increases as an item is upgraded.
Upgraded items will also have upgraded stats that will improve its performance in various ways. This could mean increasing its attack power, critical strike chance, or damage per second. In addition an upgraded item could be able to provide extra buffs for its equipped unit. These upgrades are able to be used to boost a variety of purposes, including to boost the overall power of an individual or group unit. They can also have a major impact on gameplay.
The items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. In general, these NPCs are located in capital cities or major questing areas. Players can also find item upgraders when they visit dungeons with high-level bosses, or by talking to NPCs in their faction's garrisons.
The upgrade system for items in World of Warcraft provides players with the option of upgrading the level of armor, weapons and trinkets. This process is similar to the reforging process used in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However, instead of using currency, players need to visit an upgrader for their item to complete the process.
Upgrades can be costly particularly for weapons and armor. Depending on which upgrade track you choose, each item upgrade can cost Crests or Valorstones. The cost are prohibitive for those who don't have the money or are unable to grind.
Fortunately the game allows players to roll an upgraded item using an additional tool available in the items menu. This option allows you to replace the upgraded item with a level 1 version that offers different bonuses. This is useful for obtaining higher scores on items that are already upgraded, but could be a waste of money.
Requirements

Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item will feature a different set of extra bonuses, as well as a lower level of base item. The rerolled item is also likely to have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to keep in mind that the rerolled item does not have its original level or even a fraction of its resources.
Some upgraded items can only be rerolled only if the original item was a Unique Epic, Rare, or Rare. Extraordinary items can also be suitable for rerolling, however their original stats will be replaced with an uninvolved bonus. Rerolling a Rare or Epic item will produce the normal version, and rolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.
Upgraded items could have additional adjustments that can boost their performance and improve their stats. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade cost. You can purchase them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can also be earned by fulfilling specific missions in the game.
To upgrade an item of equipment it is necessary to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Based on the kind of item, you'll require one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is available from monsters 21+ and Giants while Dice 12 is available from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.
Time is a major factor.
Upgrades to items can be a great way to increase your ship's stats and gear without the need to upgrade them. Upgrades aren't cheap, but they can be an effective way to boost your stats and not have to spend a lot of time fighting. It's important to know the costs and benefits before making the investment of time or money.
Each upgrade increases the base stat of an item by a specific amount and also gives a chance for a bonus stat increase. Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage offer a salvage kit that allows you to retrieve all or a portion upgrade components. This is not applicable to legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be retrieved using an Upgrade extractor or by returning the item to the Karma merchant.

The upgrading of items grants players currency and a variety of items. Each upgrade also has the chance to award an unspecified stat bonus. The amount of bonus differs between upgrades and is typically higher for rare items. Players can conduct the Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded prior to purchasing tickets. The search will also reveal whether the item is a certain tier and if the player would benefit from an upgrade.
During the upgrade process, the item will slowly move closer to the next stage, but it is not always able to reach its fully upgraded bar. This process uses Growthstones and Sollant but there is a chance of getting an upgraded item within just one cycle. The higher the level an item gains, the higher its stat value will be and the more items that can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, weapons, or armor to give an attribute bonus, or to create a unique effect when the equipment is worn. Certain upgrade components also have cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving them as gifts. Additionally players can find upgraded items by using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed in tools for gathering, can be freely swapped out without restrictions.
By selecting the item and pressing the green button that has an arrow for rerolling players can roll it into an upgradeable item. This will alter the layout of the game and let players select up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for an item at level 1 of the same type. Recycled items don't keep their level or the amount of resources needed to upgrade them.
The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by its quality and tier. Rare items can be upgraded to a maximum of level six while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded up to level nine. Upgrades to items are added to the base statistics of the item and do not increase after a certain point.
